It's Not One Size Fits All

'There is more to the hair and makeup profession than people outside the industry are aware of'
When you hire a makeup artist or a hair artist, its not as simple as watching a tik tok video and executing. There is important knowledge in this trade. Believe it or not there is customization involved in every look. As an artist you may be given an image of what is required; but unless you have the properly trained knowledge on how to customise,
you can make someone look older, out of place
( and not as in capturing someones unique qualities) and more.

When makeup artists and hair stylists are hired, its because you need them to do a job that you are not capable of doing. Either for safety, timing, lack of know how, creating an illusion and mostly because having someone do these things for you is theraputic!
We are hired for special events, to fix problems when doing it yourself itself created a problem and for those moments, you need to present yourself and show a side of you for your personal and professional growth.
We are also hired more than you think so that people also have a safe space to let loose and talk about things vexing them. Many of our clients simply need to get things off their chest in a safe space where they won't be judged.
'Some people go to therapy, some go to a beauty salon, some do both.'

Everyone has a different biology, different facial features, different stage of life, different career and life experiences. What you get in our chair, from service to skill to outcome, is customed to your preferences and experiences!
Sometimes we go the extra mile when we love the client in our chair and have that extra special connection. If you bring toxicity to our chair, sometimes that gets reflected in what you leave our space with.
Keep your expectations realistic and you will be leaving the chair with more than what you expected. Being an untrained know it all or setting your expectation to the level of an AI image is a problem for both the hair and makeup artist and quite frankly yourself.
Lower your expectations to what is reality and you will leave the chair with being far too happy.
We as professionals go into every personal appointment wanting you to walk away happy and coming back to us again.

So remember your appointment is custom to you.
The right look takes time.
No two artists and hair professionals will do things the same.
If you are rude you will probably not be back in our chair.
Pay us for our work, products and time.
We are providing you a service. Everything extra is bonus.
We put in our sweat and tears into the same.
